October Whole School Assembly

This week I welcomed all students back to the final term of the year and highlighted some the many activities and events that have happened already and will happen this term. I also stressed the importance of being up to date and on top of all homework, classwork, and assessments to ensure a smooth transition to further study or new year levels.

I particularly welcomed the Year 12’s to their final whole school assembly and it was a pleasure to hear our Captains Bridgette Kupsch and Andre Harrison articulate so clearly their passion and enthusiasm for their school, their time here, their teachers and education, well done!

It was also great to have members of the Hastings Bowls Club make a presentation to us. We celebrated the success of many students on the sporting field, in HPV(placing 3rd and 5th) and congratulations to our VCAL students on their incredible 30km walk to raise money for Beyond Blue, Marisa Vinson did an excellent speech on their experience.

We also handed out certificates to the Year 10 Leaders who have done an outstanding job this year in their roles.

As a school we have much to be proud of and I congratulate all students who were acknowledged or participated in our assembly this week.
