In 2009 the College completed the Auto trades Skills Centre with assistance from the Federal Government.
This new garage facility is used for Auto and Small Engines courses at the College and will in the future offer VET certificates in the Automotive trades.
Students complete work on dismantling and assembly of various car parts and study the theory of automotive maintenance. In Small Engines students are encouraged to work on small engines from mower, whipper snippers etc. They can recondition these, create cut away models or use them to modify another device such as a scooter.
Students who work in this area often link their work experience pathway to this trade and can complete an ASBA (Australian School Based Apprenticeship) in senior schooling.
