The College production of Little Shop of Horrors was a great success, below is an article written by one of the students involved:
Recently, I had the fantastic opportunity to be a part of a spectacular production called the Little Shop of Horrors in 2011. The show is based in a florist shop and is about a plant (Jak Vickers) that can only be fed blood, not just any blood, and human blood. And as it eats more and more blood it gets bigger and bigger.
Seymour, works in the florist, was played by Kitlyn Bourke and the plant shop owner Ms.Mushnik was played by Molly Fergus. Audrey was played by me (Rachel Robins), works with Seymour at the florist.
The production took months and months to prepare for, with weekend and after school rehearsals to get all of the cast and crew ready for opening night. Mr. Bridge took his own time to spend with all of us learning our lines and making the props.
When it was ShowTime, I was extremely nervous but knew it was going to be a great night, even though I had lost my voice for a week and hadn’t been able to talk! Everyone involved in the production on stage to everyone off stage, showed on the night how all the rehearsals and time spent had paid off and show was a great success!
Doing the production has made me realize that I really want to do more acting and stage work and to continue singing. I enjoyed being a part of this production and I would like to thank everyone involved and especially to Mr. Bridge for giving me the amazing opportunity.
